Employer of the Year

New Editions was named Employer of the Year by Fairfax County Disability Services Board in October 2007 for our commitment to the employment of people with disabilities.

On Local Television News

WUSA, Channel 9 filmed at New Editions in December 2007 for a segment entitled JC and Friends that highlights local people making a difference in society. The segment focused on our model of including individuals with disabilities in the workplace. In August 2007, Inc. Magazine named New Editions as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America based on sales from 2003 to 2006 in our industry. Subcontractor of the Year

New Editions teamed with large companies to help establish ourselves. In 2007, Axiom Resource Management, Inc. selected New Editions as its Subcontractor of the Year.

Speaker Invitations

Ms. Newman, company owner and President, is recognized as a leading businesswoman in government contracting and was an invited speaker on Partnering and Subcontracting for the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization annual meeting. We won several contracts in 2007 in which large businesses were our subcontractors, illustrating our success in working collaboratively to promote company growth.
