International
New Editions works with more than 50 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in developing countries around the world that directly implement U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) programs. We have designed and evaluated programs that provide: Care and protection to historically marginalized children; treatment and rehabilitation of individuals, families and community members who suffer from the physical and psychological effects of torture and trauma; appropriate wheelchairs in the developing world; and activities in over 50 countries working with development partners to improve national laws and policies to further the rights of people with disabilities.
Dedicating their careers to international development, New Editions’ international team has unique technical knowledge and unparalleled experience. For more than five years, our team has supported the Programs for Vulnerable Populations, housed in the Center of Excellence on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance Human Rights Team. Our staff members work to reduce risks to historically marginalized populations and to help communities, NGOs and governments provide services and protection for at-risk groups. Through these programs, historically marginalized populations gain access to opportunities that support their full participation in society. The Programs for Vulnerable Populations contribute to protecting the human rights and developing the capacities of historically marginalized populations worldwide. In doing so, our programs help prevent conflict, spur economic growth and advance human dignity.
