Administration for Community Living (ACL) Data Restructuring

Man reviewing graphs of data

New Editions provides data design and analytical support to the Office of Performance and Evaluation (OPE) in the Administration for Community Living (ACL). ACL's mission is to maximize the independence, well-being, and health of older adults, people with disabilities across the lifespan, and their families and caregivers. OPE coordinates a range of data collection and analysis activities and disseminates data through a variety of modalities including the provision of the data portal “Aging Integrated Database” (AGID). To date, the data have been received and processed as separate datasets. ACL recognizes that its data will be more useful to the Administration as well as to the public if its datasets are linked in ways that allow for cross dataset analysis. Under this contract, New Editions is:

  • Developing an approach and timeline for the review of the datasets;
  • Proposing a structure for transforming and/or curating those datasets to support cross dataset analysis;
  • Testing the proposed structure and approach;
  • Proposing a timeline for the curation of all of the currently available Aging datasets; and
  • Producing a work plan for data restructuring.
