New Editions is seeking a senior Section 508 Analyst. Duties include conducting accessibility assessments for all types of information and communication technology (ICT) and reporting on results. The Analyst is also expected to perform document accessibility assessments and remediate inaccessible content, as well as be able to communicate the accessibility assessment results and provide possible solutions to content owners.
Required Qualifications:
Up-to-date Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Tester certification; and
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience evaluating websites, or applications for Section 508 conformance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years hands-on experience teaching or supporting students for DHS Trusted Tester certification, or equivalent;
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing Section 508 compliance technical assistance to IT Programs or projects;
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience developing Section 508 compliance best practices;
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience reviewing IT governance life cycle artifacts for Section 508 compliance inclusion;
Minimum of one (1) year experience evaluating and/or remediating electronic documents for Section 508 conformance;
Minimum of three (3) years’ developing workforce development solutions related to Section 508 compliance;
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience developing Section 508 program metrics and measuring multiple programs for maturity;
Minimum of one (1) year experience conducting periodic bulk web content accessibility reviews and reporting;
Minimum of one (1) year experience evaluating assistive technology products for use within large security centric IT environments;
Experience evaluating mobile applications on iOS or Android OS for Section 508 conformance;
