Catherine Savino, MPH
Program Director

Catherine Savino has more than 20 years’ experience supporting the design, monitoring and evaluation of international health activities in over 25 countries. She has substantive expertise in international health, USAID contract management and programs for vulnerable populations. Her special expertise is with USAID’s special funds, especially the Displaced Children and Orphans Fund, the Leahy War Victims Fund, the Victims of Torture Fund, funds for people with disabilities and wheelchairs. She lived and worked overseas in Panama, Thailand and Morocco for ten years before returning to the USA for her graduate degree in international public health. While there, she worked part time at the Center for Disease Control in the area of reproductive health. Once in Washington, she served as the international health representative for the American Public Health Association and worked with members of the World Federation of Public Health Association before beginning her contracting work at USAID.

Ms. Savino has a Masters of Public Health (M.P.H.), from Emory University, Atlanta, GA, and holds certificates in government contracting, and evaluation.
