This brochure provides an agenda for a networking meeting between employers and vocational rehabilitation (VR) service professionals. It includes references to helpful resources for employers who are interested in hiring employees with disabilities.

This brochure provides an overview of the Employer Assistance & Recruiting Network’s (EARN’s) consultation and candidate sourcing services. It also contains quotes and statistics that demonstrate why employing people with disabilities makes good business sense.

In support of the 2010 National Disability Summit on Disability Policy, New Editions’ team of researchers prepared ten working papers on disability policy issues. This landmark event commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and attracted over 400 stakeholders from across the country. The papers addressed policy accomplishments and future challenges in areas such as civil rights, housing, health, employment, education and technology.

As part of the National Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center (NTAC), operated by New Editions, this research brief was developed to summarize current research findings on strategies for employment success after traumatic brain injury. It was distributed to state vocational rehabilitation programs, regional Technical Assistance and Continuing Education (TACE) Centers, independent living centers, parent information and training centers, as well as to vocational rehabilitation researchers.

This research brief was developed as part of the National Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center (NTAC), operated by New Editions, to summarize current research on family influence on career choices for people with disabilities. It was distributed to state vocational rehabilitation programs, regional Technical Assistance and Continuing Education (TACE) Centers, independent living centers, parent information and training centers, and vocational rehabilitation researchers.

The National Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center (NTAC), operated by New Editions, coordinated the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) Technical Assistance (TA) Network. The flyer was distributed at professional and consumer conferences to promote the use of TA Network resources.

This employer resource highlights key issues related to health and wellness promotions for persons with disabilities as found in the complete Call to Action to Improve the Health and Wellness of Persons with Disabilities. It was developed collaboratively to provide employers with an introduction to developing and implementing health and wellness programs and services in the workplace that are accessible to all employees, including employees with disabilities.

New Editions manages the Rehabilitation Services Administration’s (RSA) National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials (NCRTM) - ncrtm.ed.gov - and technical assistance webinars. The NCRTM is RSA’s gateway to technical assistance and training, providing reliable, up-to-date training materials. It is a venue for information sharing, learning and professional growth for vocational rehabilitation (VR) professionals, service providers, researchers, trainers, educators, individuals with disabilities and their support networks.

Through a subcontract with Monster Government Solutions, New Editions provided program management to New Options New Mexico, a pilot program designed to increase the aptitudes, employability and employment rate of young people in New Mexico. Innovate+Educate received a multi-million dollar grant from the W.K Kellogg Foundation to unite local industry, nonprofits and community colleges together in a cyber-based pilot initiative to help young people in New Mexico find employment and advance their careers.
