New Editions offers Section 508 Trusted Tester assessment and support services to Amentum's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) eLearning projects. Our services include conducting assessments, offering remediation guidance, and providing Section 508 technical assistance as required.

New Editions provides accessibility support services to the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). We conduct assessments of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), deliver reports, accessibility training sessions, and consultancy services tailored to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and Section 508 standards as required.

New Editions provides Section 508 services to BETAH. Tasks include website assessments and document remediation as needed.

New Editions provides accessibility support services to Department of Interior (DOI) bureaus through a Section 508 Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

New Editions provides Section 508 support services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and Customer Experience Directorate (CXD). The office is responsible for providing the DHS vision and strategic direction to ensure that Information and Communications Technology (ICT) procured, developed, maintained, or used by DHS is accessible to employees and customers with disabilities.

Innovation is at the forefront of October’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), which celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities past and present and showcases supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices.

July is a landmark month for the disability rights movement as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law on July 26, 1990. This historic event was the culmination of decades of effort by Disability Rights advocates to address discrimination and have their civil rights recognized. After the passage of the ADA, the idea of Disability Pride began to take shape with celebrations and parades all over the country. Disability Pride celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of each person with a disability, as well as the disability community as a whole.

There has been an appropriate emphasis in recent years to educate developers on accessibility requirements outlined by the Revised 508 standards and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The development of a repeatable test process, like the Trusted Tester methodology New Editions helped develop, helps to ensure developers receive a consistent message as to what constitutes accessible Information and Communication Technology (ICT). These have been positive steps forward in creating accessible products.
