New Editions manages the Rehabilitation Services Administration’s (RSA) National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials (NCRTM) - ncrtm.ed.gov - and technical assistance webinars. The NCRTM is RSA’s gateway to technical assistance and training, providing reliable, up-to-date training materials. It is a venue for information sharing, learning and professional growth for vocational rehabilitation (VR) professionals, service providers, researchers, trainers, educators, individuals with disabilities and their support networks. These activities support RSA’s leadership role within the rehabilitation community, which is to facilitate an increase in people with disabilities gaining competitive, integrated employment. New Editions redesigned the NCRTM website technology for enhanced usability, accessibility and mobile access. Features such as advanced search capability, user ratings, a peer review system, communities of practice and social media all increase the interactive nature of the site.

The NCRTM organizes its inventory of high-quality VR, sign language interpreting and independent living training materials by utilizing a comprehensive schema to organize and describe the full range of training materials. We solicit and incorporate expertise from target user groups and stakeholder feedback in the design of the schema to ensure maximum relevance. We also develop and maintain a companion system to house and track RSA grantee training products.

The NCRTM team hosts communities of practice, develops instructional videos, produces podcasts and videocasts and disseminates a monthly newsletter. New Editions also supports and hosts fully accessible RSA technical assistance webinars and designs and implements evaluation strategies to assess effectiveness and outcomes.
