New Editions Consulting Wins Contract To Expand AbleData

FALLS CHURCH, VA, October 1, 2013 – New Editions Consulting, Inc., a leader in disability, health and social policy and programs, was recently awarded a contract to maintain and expand the AbleData program. AbleData is a program of the U.S. Dept. of Education’s National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and is the premier resource for objective information on assistive technology (AT) and rehabilitation equipment available from domestic and international sources.

New Editions will assist NIDRR in growing AbleData’s existing library of over 40,000 AT devices, providing its customers with consultation and support and increasing its market reach. Additionally, New Editions will produce resources and gather the latest AT manufacturer information to assist AbleData customers in making better informed decisions when researching, evaluating or purchasing AT.

“New Editions is thrilled to be awarded the AbleData contract,” stated Shelia Newman, President of New Editions. “AbleData is a phenomenal resource that is not as well-known as it should be.  We look forward to changing that.”
